IFPTE Urges Senate to Follow House’s Lead and Pass PAWA as Part of the Appropriations Process
After the successful effort to pass the bipartisan Protect America’s Workforce Act (PAWA) in the House last week, IFPTE turned its sights this week to the United States Senate where the Union urged Senate Appropriations Committee Chair, Susan Collins, and Vice Chair, Patty Murray, to add PAWA to the remaining Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Senate funding bills. SPEEA Agrees to Boeing Request to Pause WTPU Talks
SPEEA has agreed to Boeing’s request to pause negotiations on a new contract for the more than 1,500 workers represented by its Wichita Technical & Professional Unit. Boeing asked for the delay Wednesday, citing complications related to the reunification of the newly reacquired Spirit AeroSystems operation with the rest of the Boeing enterprise.
